Exploring Combilon Cave in Monkayo, Compostela Valley
Sunday, June 24th, 2007Last June 24, 2007 together with Cil, Namae, Jorlyn, Jenny, Jose and Maye: @ 2am - We had our assembly in Ecoland Bus Terminal…. Jenny and Jose was late by ten stepsss.. (hehehee) so we didn’t catch up the 2:30am trip… We have to wait for the 4am trip… but we have to pick up Maye in Ilang Tibungco…. We headed our way to Monkayo, Compostela Valley…On the way we saw beauiful views… It was still cold and it’s fogging outside…At exactly 7am we arrived in Monkayo… We waited for Tina, Jacob and son Daniel to pick us up at the Terminal… We are all excited since its our first time to visit tina’s Farm and we will have an adventure…. Spelunking in Combilon Caves…After breakfast, we catch hito and Tilapia and cooked it for our baon…. at 9am, we headed our way to the cave… A 6 km ride from poblacion….. We ride in a multicab but you can also try skylab… a single motorcycle but can accomodate 10 passengers because it has sides made of wood and a roof too… Our first stop in Cave 1… Its a nice cave but not so challenging but it has nice scenic view… Cave 2 is a little extreme, its an undergoundwater cave…. and Cave 3 is the hardest one…. but its the most beautiful among the 3. It has the biggest stalactytes formation … but the exit of Cave 3 is Cave 1… It was so fun and exciting… Thanks to Tina and Jacob for accomodating us….
